Shawn and Connie Proprietors

Shawn and Connie have lived in the beautiful Napa Valley with their family, Gabriella and William, for more than 30 years. They have called High Ranch home since 2014 with a vision for a family legacy.

The inspiration for the High Ranch vineyard began in 2010 when Shawn and Connie met winemaker Sam Kaplan. Immediately, they realized their shared enthusiasm for the site. The neighboring Judge vineyard was highly sought-after for Chardonnay, and they agreed that the potential also existed for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon with High Ranch’s unique volcanic terroir and west-facing slopes.

Shawn is a partner in BLT Enterprises, one of California’s oldest privately held waste management and recycling companies. Connie is a recognized author in the culinary arts world with five books, including a New York Times bestseller. She has a long history as a faculty member of the renowned Culinary Institute of America at Greystone and is a founding member of the children’s Culinary Arts Program, CHEF of San Antonio, Texas.

Together, their family history in Napa Valley and commitment to world-class winegrowing has produced a generational endeavor.
